RESEARCH

Molecular biology and biochemistry underly all aspects of healthcare and medicine. Our research span a wide range such as cancer, modern nutrition, metabolic diseases, and systems biology.

Become part of the research that impacts people and communities.

Liver fluke and cholangiocarcinoma

Bile duct cancer and liver fluke Opisthorchis viverrini infection have long been a major problem particularly for Thailand and neighbouring countries. With extensive collaboration, we use all available approaches and develop innovation to bring solution to the affected communities.

Nutritions for all

Modern life style and plethora of dietary choices aren’t always beneficial to the health. Molecular and biochemistry basis are explored in order to provide evidence-based data that lead to better decision and well-being.

Metabolic diseases and chronic kidney diseases

What happens when the metabolic processes and molecular mechanisms in the bodies go wrong, and what are the causes and potential intervention? Both in-depth research and public health approaches are used to solve these modern-day illnesses.

Beyond standard education

Non-degree learning opportunities

To enable life-long learning for all and to bring the recent knowledge in medical biochemistry and molecular biology to a wider audience, we are developing non-degree programs for both online and onsite participants. Current topics cover issues of systems biology and metabolomics. Watch this space and follow our Department of Biochemistry Facebook page for courses that are open for registration.
